Reparations

The LVLC Reparations committee has been working together for the past three years to generate a reparations strategy that honors the spirit of reparations, seeks to repair the harm done in Chicago to people of color that has unfairly benefited white people, and partner with housing organizations to disburse funds as a way to generate wealth to individuals and family who have been deprived the opportunity to build generation wealth. As the 2026 year winds down, we are meeting with housing groups to work together in ways that build long-term partnerships and repair harm through housing grants that support people deprived of long-term housing opportunities.

Membership in ONE Northside

LVLC works along with ONE Northside, an organization on Chicago's Northside that works to "eliminate injustice through bold and innovative community organizing."​
