Hot Soup 


The Hot Soup Mission aims to provide monthly meals for those in need. Planning meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month over Zoom, and delivery the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

19th District Mutual Aid Group


From April to December of 2023, a number of asylum seekers stayed at the 19th District police station (directly across from LVLC). The 19th District Mutual Aid Group aims to provide housing, work authorization and asylum application support, and support to Nuevos Vecinos formerly at the 19th police precinct and currently at local shelters, primarily the American Islamic College (AIC) shelter nearby our district, and in their transition to housing. They also support new arrivals at the Landing Zone with essential supplies through welcome kits.

YEPP strives to create a brave environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI+) youth experiencing homelessness to explore their history, investigate new ways to address their struggles and to celebrate their strengths through personal, leadership and community development programming that incorporate different art-expression forms.

The building at 835 W. Addison is currently under construction and in September will permanently house 37 residents with disabilities. We have worked in close proximity with the Over the Rainbow Association on this project.

​LakeView Employment Group

Lakeview Employment Group provides short term work experiences for individuals with barriers to finding and maintaining employment. Participants in the organization may be homeless or housing insecure, have a criminal background, and/or working through issues with substance addiction or abuse.
